An ‘inkling’ is a slight hint, intimation a faint notion, this is a broad term for all fragments of thoughts past present and future, this is inclusive and representative of elements that have come together to create memories, feelings, ideas, events and happenings. This is not about a lost thought or an old memory it is present and now which is more vital and with more importance to the ‘family’ who support and guide someone with dementia. The idea behind a title like The Room of Inklings that it asks everyone to think on the fragments that are collated into this garden and shed, these collections are inclusive and not only for a dementia sufferer. The importance is pressed upon us all who will enter the shed and garden to think on a legacy of things and moments shared as a family and friend.
