During the summer of 2018 Wendy was approached by an enthusiastic energetic Steve Hughes (founder of ForEST – Chester Supertrees) to design and produce a mural for one of the unsightly underpasses that lead into the City centre. Through a brief which consisted of having an environmental focus, specifically ‘Water’ and to engage with the local community RAW-i were left with the reins of this exciting project. We immediately set about inviting a number of local primary schools to join us in developing ideas on how plastics and human activities are affecting the marine and riparian zones. The students, who represented their schools’ Eco Committee/Club were enthusiastic in their work. The results of which allowed Wendy to develop her final designs.
